Kidney, Nephron and Glomerulus

This model, made from specialized plastic, features an enlarged kidney section approximately three times its natural size. It also includes a magnified nephron at 120 times its actual size and a glomerulus at 700 times its actual size, all presented on the same board. The right kidney section depicts the renal pyramids and the portions of papillae entering the pelvis, along with the schematic representation of the nephron, including Henle’s loop. The nephron section shows the renal corpuscles, renal tubules, and collecting ducts of two nephrons. The magnified glomerulus highlights the afferent and efferent arterioles, glomerular capillaries, urinary pole, and Bowman’s capsule.
